Cooking from what you already have

Start from the cupboard, not the recipe

Normal recipe sites work backwards: pick a dish, then buy nine things. The pantry tools invert it. Tell us what is genuinely in the kitchen — or photograph a shelf or the inside of the fridge — and we write a complete recipe around it, calling out only the few extras that are actually worth a trip.

Leftovers are ingredients

Half a roast chicken, the end of a bag of rice and a tired courgette is a dinner, not a problem. The remix tool is built for exactly that shape of input and returns a real method with timings and macros rather than a vague suggestion.

Why this saves money

Most household food waste is bought food that never got used. Planning from the pantry outward means fewer duplicate purchases, fewer half-used jars, and a shorter list at the till — usually a bigger saving than switching supermarkets.

Common questions

Do I have to list every ingredient?

No. Give it the main things and the staples you keep; it assumes ordinary salt, oil and pepper.

Does the fridge photo actually work?

Yes — it identifies what it can see and builds around it. It is a Premium feature, and you can always correct the list before it writes the recipe.

Will it invent an ingredient I do not have?

It lists any extras separately and keeps them to a handful, so you can see the cost of the recipe before you commit to it.
