Make My Search Bookmarklet (Internet Explorer only) This bookmarklet lets you create your own custom search bookmarklets. After you have added it, go to any search tool (search engine, dictionary, etc), select any options you want, and search for ABC (all capital letters). Then click the 'Make My Search' bookmarklet, and give your new bookmarklet a name. To use this new bookmarklet you have created: Any time, click on it. It will ask you for text, and then it will search for that text on whatever search tool you chose. If you have selected text on the page you are currently viewing, it will search for that automatically without asking you.TAGS

Purple is a small suite of quickly hacked tools designed to create HTML documents with "purple" numbers. These purple numbers are HTML anchors attached to every paragraph in a document, which allow you to link to these paragraphs. (02) Purple consists of an XML vocabulary (purple.dtd), which is similar to, but far simpler and cruder than DocBook, and an XSLT script (purpletohtml.xsl) that generates the corresponding HTML and purple numbers. Purple also includes some Perl scripts that preprocess these documents and that provide a crude form of structured version control and link integrity. (03)TAGS

When designing websites, I always want to test for different window sizes to see how a page would look like on smaller screens. The bookmarklets. I found are not flexible, because they resize only to a single size, so I needed several different ones for 1024x768, 800x600, etc., hence consuming much of the limited space in the links bar.
